When it comes to London luxury, there are certain hotels that just feel iconic and The Biltmore Mayfair is definitely one of them. Sitting proudly on Grosvenor Square, this hotel oozes that timeless, old-school Mayfair glamour, but with a fresh, modern feel thanks to a beautiful refurbishment.

I was lucky enough to visit, have a tour, and get a feel for the hotel’s spaces and style. I haven’t stayed overnight, but from what I saw, this is the kind of hotel that’s perfect for special occasions, luxury city breaks and anyone who loves the finer things done exceptionally well.

First Impressions – Classic Mayfair, with a Contemporary Twist

The location couldn’t be better. Right on Grosvenor Square in the heart of Mayfair, The Biltmore feels grand from the moment you arrive. It has that elegant, classic façade you’d expect from a building with this kind of London history.

Inside, it’s been beautifully reimagined... elegant, polished, but with a lightness and warmth that makes it feel welcoming, not intimidating. The lobby sets the tone straight away, luxurious but understated, with soft lighting, plush textures and gorgeous floral arrangements.

Inside The Biltmore – What Stood Out

Design & Interiors

The interiors blend classic British elegance with modern sophistication. Think deep velvets, marble touches, soft lighting and curated art. Every space feels calm, grown-up and perfectly thought through.

Rooms and suites (from what I saw) are spacious, serene, and designed for comfort... rich fabrics, sleek bathrooms and lovely views over Grosvenor Square.

Dining at The Biltmore

  • The Café Biltmore Restaurant & Terrace by Jason Atherton offers a modern twist on British classics... seasonal menus, relaxed fine dining and a gorgeous terrace for summer lunches or brunches.

  • The Pine Bar – A chic spot for cocktails, champagne, or a quiet nightcap. The bar team here are serious about their craft, with creative cocktails alongside all the classics done properly.

Rooms & Suites – Elegant & Understated

While I didn’t stay overnight, I toured a few rooms and suites. They’re beautifully done with muted tones, luxurious linens and marble bathrooms. Everything feels calm, considered, and very Mayfair. It’s not about being flashy, it’s about timeless, comfortable elegance.

Suites offer extra space, dressing areas and beautiful views of the square. A perfect base for those who want peace, privacy, and polish.

Who’s It For?

  • Couples looking for a refined, romantic London break

  • Luxury travellers who want Mayfair’s best address

  • Anyone who loves elegant, grown-up hotels with excellent service

  • Business travellers looking for something a cut above

Final Thoughts – Why It’s on My List to Stay

The Biltmore is the kind of hotel you check into when you want to feel looked after. It’s not loud, brash, or trying to keep up with trends, it’s just quietly luxurious, beautifully located and ideal for anyone who appreciates flawless service and understated style.

It’s firmly on my list for a future stay, whether for a client recommendation or a little London luxury of my own.
